Work Play Trip to Singapore

Work travel is fun when the work we're in is fun. My company is producing its very own defence event in 2020 and research is essential. There's a similar event happening in Singapore and so that's why we're here for a day.

We're visiting Singapore during the Chinese Lunar month and this is the first thing we see at the airport. No one got offended. Why should they be? Only in Malaysia are some people so easily offended

Clean streets leading to our hotel

Our room at Hotel Kai
Hotel Kai is a 20 minutes away from Marina Bay Sands, located in a relatively upper class side of town with more posh hotels surrounding it. Our room is about RM250. It's good for those who travel on the cheap but cannot stay in dorms like us.

It comes with a tiny bathroom (it's advisable that your roomie leave the room when you're in there to avoid sound and smelly bombs) , a TV, cut out cupboard to store their iron, kettle, remote and other small stuff. There is no place to keep your bags so you'll be sleeping with them or putting them at the room door.

It's clean, people working there are friendly and we even got Oreos and water as welcome gifts.

The place is perfect if you don't plan to stay too long.

We arrived at the hotel in the late evening. We rested a bit before heading out to hunt for food.
We decided to go to Marina Bay Sands and check out the Expo area that we planned to visit the next day.

Simple but quite an attraction

When I grow up I want to own an ArtScience Museum

After visiting the Defence Event, we took the opportunity to also check out Future Worlds. Something my company is keen to promote as well.
