ABBA releases the Dancing Queen in me

There are only a few artistes whose music lasts decades and remain relevant to younger audiences. ABBA, Aerosmith, Arctic Monkeys, David Bowie, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Nirwana, U2 are some of my all time favourites. My current favourite of all favourites, Coldplay, will definitely be relevant in the next few decades.

I couldn't get my hands on Coldplay tickets when they performed in Malaysia recently but I'm happy to know that I would be able to sing and dance to ABBA famed for hits such as "Money Money Money", "Knowing Me Knowing You" and "Dancing Queen" when the tribute band from Sweden performs here in September.

AC Music Entertainment will bring you the international hit tribute musical Arrival from Sweden – The Music of ABBA. Arrival from Sweden, is a renowned ABBA tribute band, and will perform their greatest hits and a previously unreleased song “Just a Notion”, directly from Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson of ABBA. This tribute show debuted in 1995 and has been attended by over a million people, globally.

This 12-piece band (including many original members of ABBA's band) will take you back to the ‘70s as they re-create the appearance of the original stars that defined pop music. Authentic costumes, entrancing dance numbers, impeccable harmonies all come together to create the ABBA experience, live on stage.

Arrival From Sweden was founded in 1995 in Gothenburg, Sweden by Vicky Zetterberg. On stage she takes on the role of Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida) and her vocals partner, six-foot tall blonde Jenny Gustafsson taking on the role of Agnetha Faltskog. Arrival from Sweden's tongue-in-cheek retrospect of supergroup, ABBA includes the four main band members, plus six side musicians, three female back-up singers.

Fans of the band in Malaysia will get to relive the golden days with the favorite hits like Money Money Money, SOS and even Super Trouper soon! Reminisce the days of the 70s as you enjoy Arrival from Sweden – The Music of ABBA.

If you haven't heard about Arrival from Sweden, here are some reviews:

"Abba, re-lived “FOR Abba fans, this show band was the real McCoy. They sang, danced and looked like the original Abba in the ‘70s, show band Arrival From Sweden delivered a stellar performance that was a befitting tribute recently The two lead singers were at their best as their voices sounded just like Abba. Their voices were pitch-perfect as they hit the high notes effortlessly.”

The Star, Malaysia NO 1 Newspaper, January 1, 2011

"What a treat for ABBA’s fans to relive the ageless music of ABBA, which was performed by tribute band Arrival from Sweden to a packed house at the Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 25 and 26 December 2010. As the saying goes, nothing beats the original but if you can’t get the original, the second best will do. Arrival just proved that point."

9 Organic Skincare Online Stores in Malaysia

Lately, consumers have been more conscious about the food/ drinks, products that we consume and use. Choosing what to consume or use can be confusing as researchers say one thing and then change their verdict a few years down the road.

For example, there have been lots of contradicting research data about palm oil, coconut oil, corn oil, coffee, tea, wine, and vegetables. Of course, we know that sometimes research is biased towards a certain countries economic gain. A country whose economic growth depends on coffee beans will, of course, say that coffee is healthier to consume than tea and vice versa, wouldn't you think?

So how do we decide what's good for us? Naturally, it's best to just use products that our forefathers (or foremothers?) have been using without any health issues. So it's about going back to basics without the extra preservatives and chemicals. Eat the vegetables that are grown in your garden like how our great grandparents used to do. No land to gro…

NEUTROGENA®'s fashion debut celebrates the joy of healthy skin

Decorated with Mercedes-Benz Stylo's signature colour red, huge flowers, a wall lined with an assortment of single sofas and chairs for guest photo ops and a gold cage in the middle of KL Gateway's centre court, guests were ready to be enchanted by the fashion collection inspired by NEUTROGENA® HAPPY SKIN.
Prettily dressed guests were first ushered to an area where sleek Mercedes-Benz cars were displayed to be admired while they nibbled on hors d'oeuvres and ordered Red Bull served in glasses. At 7.30pm, they were then invited to go the third floor where the fashion show was to be held.

NEUTROGENA®  products were strategically placed at the entrance of the draped show area for guests to try. Beauty Consultants were ready to assist guests with any skincare concerns they may have.

An hour later, the show began once Datuk Nancy Yeoh, President & CEO of STYLO International and Chairman of MBSTYLOAFF arrived but not before Julia Teo, Associate Marketing Director of Johnson…

The Hunt of for the Milky Way Sabah- Day 2 to 4 Ranau and Kundasang

Day 2- Ranau

So hubby and I survived the winter of Tambunan, and we had a simple breakfast of nasi lemak bungkus which was served with a bowl of soup at Tambunan Town (it's a Sabahan norm to have soup served at every meal, we discovered). The group said they were heading to the waterfall about 30 minutes away after breakfast then will check out and head to Sabah Tea Garden, Ranau (where do they get their energy???).

I said we would join them at the waterfall after freshening up at the hotel. Our hotel bed had other plans. It enveloped us and refused to let us go until noon so I meekly messaged Emma that we would join them at Sabah Tea Garden.

After we free-ed ourselves from the clutches of the bed, we made our way to Mahua Waterfall where we were greeted by green and hilly landscapes before reaching a fairly lonely road (really I think we only passed one car on the way there). After a lonely 20 - minute ride, we saw about 20 cars parked at the entrance which is a huge difference …
