Decorated with Mercedes-Benz Stylo's signature colour red, huge flowers, a wall lined with an assortment of single sofas and chairs for guest photo ops and a gold cage in the middle of KL Gateway's centre court, guests were ready to be enchanted by the fashion collection inspired by NEUTROGENA® HAPPY SKIN.
Prettily dressed guests were first ushered to an area where sleek Mercedes-Benz cars were displayed to be admired while they nibbled on hors d'oeuvres and ordered Red Bull served in glasses. At 7.30pm, they were then invited to go the third floor where the fashion show was to be held.
NEUTROGENA® products were strategically placed at the entrance of the draped show area for guests to try. Beauty Consultants were ready to assist guests with any skincare concerns they may have.
An hour later, the show began once Datuk Nancy Yeoh, President & CEO of STYLO International and Chairman of MBSTYLOAFF arrived but not before Julia Teo, Associate Marketing Director of Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies introducing NEUTROGENA® on the runway.
"Through our fashion debut at Mercedes-Benz STYLO AsiaFashionFestival, we hope to demonstrate the inner-joy of having healthy, great-looking skin, a result of NEUTROGENA® skincare, and share it with Malaysian women- what better way to do this than to come up with a fashion collection, inspired by the concept of Happy Skin!".
On the reason behind leveraging on fashion to express the essence of NEUTROGENA®'s latest campaign, Teo said,"It's undeniable that women and fashion go hand-in-hand. Through our fashion collection, we want to tell every Malaysian woman that she can count on NEUTROGENA® to put her best face forward."
The event showcased youthful, bright and colourful designs from select up-and-coming Malaysian fashion creators like Shadow C., weihaoyong, TUHFAH and a specially designed Neutrogena® collection by emerging young designers, Hazzer Wan Lee and Kittie Yiyi.
The fashion show began with six natural and simple looks borne from an extremely rational manufacturing process by Shadow C. whilst Kota Kinablu native, weihaoyong presented six tailored looks. TUHFAH showcased the power of colours with six modest wear designs.
NEUTROGENA® tied up with Kittie Yiyi and Hazzer Wan Lee to bring the youthfulness and joy of NEUTROGENA®'s Happy Skin 24/7 to life.
Hazzer's collection is inspired by the water splash- a signature of NEUTROGENA®'s Deep Clean range of cleansing products, and the first step to Happy Skin 24/7. Fluid lines and cascading layers come together to bring out the beauty and energy of water in hues of blue, green, orange and pink (the colours of the NEUTROGENA® 's Deep Clean range packaging).
Kittie's collection, inspired by the quintessential beach girl on holiday, is more quirky and bright with falred silhouttes, ruffles, cheerful stripes and heart-shaped prints.
The night drew to a close with a photo opportunity with models, designers and festival sponsors.
