Why can't women have enough shoes? I made my first purchase on Zalora in December after deciding my favourite pair of Charles and Keiths was starting to look a little worn. But heck! They're comfy!
Buying shoes online? No touch, feel and walkabout? I was a bit skeptical too but the idea of going to a shopping mall during the Chrismas shopping season was too daunting so I took the risk.
So I made my purchase and bought two pairs a size too small. (Yes, I forgot my shoe size in the excitement at seeing all the options online). Zalora, of course, does free exchanges and within a week I received my right size. The heels are higher than I expected but pretty comfortable especially for dinner outings (without the need to stand too long)
My shoe rack is the plain one you get from hypermarket stores so they are mostly filled with my shoes. I don't really like the fact that the shoes are exposed to dust and are not really orderly.
If you're facing the same "too many shoes to fit a rack" predicament, here are some ideas for you.

If you're facing the same "too many shoes to fit a rack" predicament, here are some ideas for you.
1. Cover a shoe rack with a curtain.
A ribbon tie for the curtain adds an elegant touch.
2. Store them in an ottoman.
This is a great solution for a small apartment, but this version costs $799 (RIP Lilly Pulitzer). If you already own a storage ottoman, you could try making your own using fabric and a staple gun.
IKEA Malaysia has some nice ones HERE
Keep two underneath a console table for your entryway.
3. Store your shoes in shoeboxes with printed out Instagrams of your shoe collection.

4. Keep shoes in buckets.
If you’re not the most meticulously organized person in the world, this solution helps to keep shoes off the ground without taking up a lot of space. Just toss ‘em in when you’re doing a quick clutter cleanup.
Not a great option if you're always in a hurry to leave the house in the morning!
5. Stack ‘em on the stairs.
I live in a condo so this is not an option for me
6. Use recycling bins from Ikea to store shoes in an entryway.
8. Implement a slide-out shoe rack.
Possibly easier said than done, but if you’re considering a remodel, it’s certainly a clever idea.
9. Hang shoe organizers on a room divider or screen.
10. Display them in a large basket.
If you’ve got pretty slippers you want to show off.
11. Strategically use tension rods in the bottom of a closet.
So brilliant.
12. Throw them into rolling crates.
So there you have it 12 Ideas to store your shoes! Which is your favourite?
