Monica's World

If I had an alternative life, I think I might have been a jeweller or at least a jewellery designer. I simply adore pretty rings, bracelets and necklaces and I can't seem to get enough of them. Most of my jewellery are from bazaars and pop-up stores and nothing too expensive.

I do look at expensive jewellery but I don't think I would ever spend more than RM50 a piece. There goes CHANEL, TIFFANY and such.

Elegant JewelleryKimberly Process Prevents Conflict Diamonds

As I'm starting to explore more brands to fill my blog, I came to know a jewellery brand, Monica Vinader. Her collections are simple and elegant and if I somehow inherited RM5 million, I might consider buying some pieces. The collections are not too expensive- it's just that RM5 million is my target before I start spending on luxurious items ie jewellery more than RM50, and other things like a BMW, a CHANEL bag, a new home.

I digress. Monica Vinader is a British luxury jewellery brand that celebrates individuality. Opening up a new category between fashion and fine jewellery, MV creates instantly wearable, contemporary pieces to style, stack and personalise with engraving.

Monica's unique designs have a diverse celebrity following including Emma Watson, Olivia Palermo and the Duchess of Cambridge. Their iconic friendship bracelets, vibrant gemstones and cutting-edge diamond pieces have made Monica Vinader internationally successful.

At their debut in 2008, Monica Vinader won Brand of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards, and has since been stocked by global luxury retailers including Harrods, Selfridges, Liberty, Net-A-Porter and Boutique 1. You can step into the world of Monica Vinader at their boutiques in London's Chelsea, Mayfair and Canary Wharf, and in Hong Kong's ifc Mall.

Founder and CEO, Monica Vinader, grew up surrounded by arts and objects from her parents' antiques business, an influential force that has guided her entrepreneurial spirit and eye for design. After graduating from art school in London, Monica immersed herself in the jewellery world and worked her way up before deciding to go it alone, creating bespoke pieces from her converted forge in Norfolk, with an office, showroom and workshop all under one roof. As the business has scaled, Norfolk remains at the heart of the design process, where she and her creative team develop all of the collections. Production takes place in India, where every stone is cut and faceted by hand from rough, using contemporary cuts, meaning your piece of Monica Vinader jewellery is entirely unique.

Monica finds inspiration in everything, from art, architecture and design to natural landscapes, surrounding herself with found objects, and viewing the world with avid curiosity. Monica designs every piece of MV jewellery herself, and does so on instinct, with the simple aim of creating something that's very special for everyday wear.

Monica Vinader is committed to ensuring ethical sourcing of our products and we work closely with our suppliers to ensure that they adhere to our Code of Conduct, which sets outs the standards of business behaviour we expect from our suppliers.

Our diamonds are sourced through our suppliers who all adhere to the Kimberley Process and the World Diamond Council's System of Warranties preventing the distribution of conflict diamonds both in rough, and cut and polished stones. Conflict diamonds are those smuggled by rebels to finance wars against legitimate governments. Our diamond suppliers are also compliant with United Nations resolutions.

If you're looking for something special for Mother's Day, why not consider a Monica Vinader?
